There are small moments in every day when we have the
choice to be selfish or selfless.
Almost every day presents an opportunity to take for
ourselves, or to give to another - which brings us mutual
gain. Practicing the small moments build the spirit.
Small selfless choices result in a kinder society.
You can pour the last cup of coffee into your cup -
leaving about an inch for the next unfortunate who reaches
for the pot. Or you can take the extra 120 seconds to
start another, knowing you will receive a small favor
some time soon.
You can stand in line, eyes fixed forward, with your
basket full of groceries while the person behind you
has only a gallon of milk. Or you can wave them ahead,
and watch their surprised-thankful face and share a
smile.
Small moments, small opportunities to grow. Little
things that make a big difference.
